Where your
data lives.
This page describes what each of our apps asks for, and where that information goes, as they ship today. If an app starts doing something different, this page changes before it does.

How our apps work today
- No accounts. None of our apps currently ask you to sign up or sign in.
- No servers of ours. We don’t operate a backend for these apps. As they ship today, they include no networking code and send nothing to us.
- No analytics or advertising. The current versions include no analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs, and no identifiers for advertisers.
- Your content stays with you. It lives on your device. Where an app syncs, it goes through your own iCloud account — an arrangement between you and Apple that we can’t see into.
So as things stand, there is no personal data about you sitting on our side. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising.
App by app
Each app asks only for what it needs to do its job. Here is what that means in each one as it ships today, and where the data goes.
Lifewheel
Your check-ins are stored on your device. iCloud sync is optional and off unless you turn it on; when you do, your check-ins travel through your own iCloud account so they follow you between your devices. With your permission, the app can save wheel images and journey videos to your photo library, and can send you reminders at a cadence you choose — those notifications are scheduled locally on your device.
The one-time unlock is handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details.
InSeason
InSeason uses your location, while you have the app open, to work out which of seven US growing regions you are in. It asks for kilometre-level accuracy only, and your coordinates are never saved: the app keeps the resulting region — or a region you pick by hand — and nothing more. That preference is stored on your device.
Scratchbook: National Parks
The parks you have collected, your visit notes, and your wildlife sightings are stored on your device and kept in step across your devices through your own iCloud account. Photos you attach to a park are held as files on the device you added them to and are not synced. With your permission, the app can save a passport poster to your photo library; it only ever adds images, and never reads your library.
FitZones
FitZones reads your live heart rate through Apple Health — from AirPods Pro or another connected sensor — so it can show your zone and announce changes while you train, and it writes your completed runs and walks back to Apple Health. During outdoor workouts it uses your location to measure distance and pace. Your workouts are stored on your device.
In the current version, health data stays on your device and we don’t receive it. It is not used for advertising or marketing — Apple’s rules prohibit that for health data, and we have no interest in it either.
ValueStudy
ValueStudy works with reference photos you choose from your library, or capture with the camera if you allow it. Images are processed entirely on your device, and the studies you make are saved there. Nothing is uploaded.
What Apple tells us
Because our apps are sold through the App Store, Apple gives us aggregate sales figures and — if you have agreed to share diagnostics with developers — anonymised crash reports. These come to us in a form that doesn’t identify you individually.
Deleting your data
Deleting an app removes its data from your device. Where an app syncs through iCloud, you can remove that copy in Settings → your name → iCloud. Some of our apps also offer an in-app reset, which erases your history and starts you over.
Children
Our apps aren’t directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
The studio is young and the apps are still growing. We may add things that change the picture above — optional accounts, iCloud sync in an app that doesn’t have it yet, or crash and usage reporting to help us fix what breaks.
If we do, we’ll update this page and the App Store privacy labels by the time that version ships, and change the date at the top. Where a new feature involves collecting something about you, we’ll ask before turning it on rather than switching it on quietly.
